  Summer in Flims

In the summer season, hiking, mountain climbing and swimming in one of the many mountain lakes or in the "adventure-pool", are very popular with our guests.
The seemingly endless area offers  a cornucopia of adventure sports that can be pursued nearly all year round, and satisfies every wish: hang-gliding, hot-air-ballooning over breathtaking scenery, river rafting, canoeing, mountain and downhill biking, indoor-climbing, skateboard halfpipe, in-line skating, frisbee golf and tipi camping. We offer something for everyone - challenge, excitement and fitness.

Family
Flims is a holiday region for the whole family. While dad is racing downhill with the mountain bike, the kids are enjoying themselves in the petting zoo or in one of the many playgrounds. The numerous barbecue areas on the hiking routes suitable for children make the family day out just perfect. Of course you can also enjoy a meal in one of the scenic family-friendly restaurants. The inviting lakes always attractchildren and adults for a swim.

Golf
Buna Vista Golf Sagogn
Situated at the same altitude as Sagogn and Schluein, 700 m above sea level, on a plateau overlooking the inlet of the Anterior Rhine, the Ruinaulta, holes 1 to 9 and 10 to 13, the driving range and the practice holes were opened in summer 2008. The sun-drenched golf course is nestled in a beautiful rural setting. Designed to blend with its natural surroundings, it commands a breathtaking view over the mountains of Surselva. The challenges posed by the course include water obstacles, treacherous grassy bunkers, raised tees which are topographically unspoiled throughout the length of the holes and some sandy bunkers.

Climbing garden

31 climbing routes at an altitude of 2,100 metres offer beginners and families a taste of the fascinating sport of climbing. The stable chalk rock face of the Segnesboden is ideal for climbing. The climbing garden is made up of five sections: East a/b/c and West a/b. These five sectors comprise no less than 31 different routes of varying degrees of difficulty ranging from 2a to 6b. The routes vary in length from 10 m to 100 m. Detailed climbing guidebooks are available from Flims Laax Falera Tourism office: +41 (0)81 920 92 00

River Rafting
The impressive Rhine Gorge between Illanz and Reichenau provides the perfect scenery for a wet and wonderful adventure. If river rafting had not been already invented, it would have been devised for the Upper Rhine. Up to nine participants can board one of the sturdy rubber boats with multiple chambers. Together with an experienced guide, the group decides the pace. In quiet passages you will be transported to another world by the gorge''s unusual rock formations . In contrast, when you pass the rapids water spray and waves will ensure lots of fun in the boat.
Book your rafting adventure as a full day or a half-day trip with lunch or in combination with a bike tour.
